Famous quotes containing the words anderson and/or yard:

    Art to me was a state, it didn’t need to be an accomplishment. By any of the standards of production, achievement, performance, I was not an artist. But I always thought of myself as one.
    —Margaret Anderson (1886–1973)

    For this your mother sweated in the cold,
    For this you bled upon the bitter tree:
    A yard of tinsel ribbon bought and sold;
    A paper wreath; a day at home for me.
    Edna St. Vincent Millay (1892–1950)
