Post Mortem

After his death, Allot's widow married stationer Philip Chetwinde, which gave Chetwinde Allot's rights to plays by Shakespeare and Jonson. Rights to Jonson plays were utilized in the second folio of Jonson's works (1640/1) published by Richard Meighen.

Famous quotes containing the word post:

I had rather be shut up in a very modest cottage, with my books, my family and a few old friends, dining on simple bacon, and letting the world roll on as it liked, than to occupy the most splendid post which any human power can give.
    Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826)
