Paud Road
An offshoot of Karve road, this road runs from Paud Phata to the village of Paud via Chandani Chowk. Main areas on this road include Paud phata, Kelewadi, Shrimangal Society, Mayur Colony, Rambaug Colony, Alkapuri Society, Ideal Colony, Shivtirthnagar, Aanand Nagar, Bharti Vidyapeeth Corner, MIT Corner, Jai Bhavani Nagar, Shikshak Nagar, Gananjay Society, Gujrath Colony, Shastri Nagar, Bhusari Colony, Kothrud PMPML depot, Chandani Chowk, Bhugaon and Pirangut. The famous educational institutions of Bharti Vidhyapeeth, MIT and MIT School of Management are on this road. A very beautiful large Public Garden is under construction on the land of the abandoned garbage dump. A much needed petrol pump has also come up recently near Krishna Hospital, in place of Bakare garage. Very famous Durga Cafe is also on this road, near to MIT engineering college. Vanaz company is situated near Gujrath Colony. This road also handles traffic from Pune to Lavasa till Pirangut. There is a toll booth near Bhugaon. This road intersects Katraj-Dehu Road Bypass at Chandani Chowk. The Pirangut Ghat is located on this road.
