This road extends for a kilometer with the Good Luck cafe at its eastern end, which is a popular place for the locals to socialize in the evenings. Rangoli is another popular restaurant for vegetarian food and is located at the junction of this road and the Law College road. There is also a school for the hearing impaired off this road. The prestigious Deccan Gymkhana Club and PYC Gymkhana Club are located off this road. There is one of the oldest milk dairies in the city, Sane Dairy, located off this road. Bhandarkar Road was home to the noted Marathi writer, orator, performing artist and comedian, the late Pu La Deshpande.
