Authorities
The Australian commonwealth government has had a number of statutory authorities relative to roads including: -
- Australian Transport Council
- National Transport Commission
State governments have been co-ordinated through: -
- National Association of Australian State Road Authorities.
In Victoria the state road authority is the Roads Corporation better known as VicRoads and in New South Wales it is known as the Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA).
