Road Runner Express is a steel roller coaster located at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Texas. It was built for the park's 1997 season and is the last mine train roller coaster ever to be built by Arrow Dynamics in a Six Flags theme park.
In contrast to most of the similarly named Road Runner Express coasters at Six Flags parks, Fiesta Texas' version is not a junior coaster, but a full-scale, though not extreme, family roller coaster. The target audience for the ride is families with preteen children.
Some track portions of Road Runner Express pass under segments of the Iron Rattler roller coaster, as they sit next to each other in the park's Crackaxle Canyon.
Famous quotes containing the words road, express and/or flags:
“My father and mother in 1817 were forty-nine days on the road with their emigrant wagons [from Vermont] to Ohio. More than two days for each hour that I spent in the same journey.”
—Rutherford Birchard Hayes (18221893)
“... perhaps there exists only one intelligence from which the world sublets, one intelligence toward which each person, from the depths of his individual body, directs his gaze, as in the theater where, though each has a seat, however, there is only one stage.... But if it we all shared the same intelligence, [Bergotte] would, upon hearing me express [my ideas], remember them, love them, smile at them....”
—Marcel Proust (18711922)
“The flags are natures newly found.
Rifles grow sharper on the sight.
There is a rumble of autumnal marching,
From which no soft sleeve relieves us.
Fate is the present desperado.”
—Wallace Stevens (18791955)
