Rik Fox - SIN

SIN

After being ousted from Steeler, Fox founded the band SIN. This band enjoyed some success, and found them being voted 'Top drawing heavy metal/rock band of Los Angeles' according to an L.A. Music Magazine. They performed in dozens of packed-house concerts and shows, including the annual 'Los Angeles Street Scene' before some 5,000 people. The band recorded a master demo in 1985, just before the band's internal chemistry issues caused Fox to disband SIN. Fox also spent several months in the late 1980s, rehearsing with Niji Management's band Burn and then several more months recording and performing with local Arizona heavy metal band Surgcial Steel. Fox left the band, with apparently no 'playing issues' at fault claimed there, either. Fox had successfully recorded with Mick Brown, drummer of the band Dokken for the Surgical Steel sessions. The band eventually lost its financial backing and the recording deal fell through.

Famous quotes containing the word sin:

Once the sin against God was the greatest sin, but God died, and so these sinners died as well. To sin against the earth is now the most terrible thing, and to esteem the entrails of the unknowable more highly than the meaning of the earth.
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

Thou shalt not, it is said, make unto thee any graven image of God. The same commandment should apply when God is taken to mean the living part of every human being, the part that cannot be grasped. It is a sin that, however much it is committed against us, we almost continually commit ourselves—Except when we love.
    Max Frisch (1911–1991)

Those of us who were brought up as Christians and have lost our faith have retained the sense of sin without the saving belief in redemption. This poisons our thought and so paralyses us in action.
    Cyril Connolly (1903–1974)
