Riff Languages
Riffian is a Northern Berber language of the Zenati subgroup, spoken mainly in the Rif region located in North Morocco and in various other cities by about 4 million people. There are also Riffian-speaking peoples in Europe. The language itself is divided in several dialects, all and intelligible specific to each clans composing the Rifian region.
In neighbouring Algeria, It was spoken by Rif clans who have settled in some areas (mainly Bethioua and Arzew). The Berber dialect spoken in Tlemcen (Beni Snouss) is often seen as an eastern variety of the language.

Famous quotes containing the word languages:
“People in places many of us never heard of, whose names we cant pronounce or even spell, are speaking up for themselves. They speak in languages we once classified as exotic but whose mastery is now essential for our diplomats and businessmen. But what they say is very much the same the world over. They want a decent standard of living. They want human dignity and a voice in their own futures. They want their children to grow up strong and healthy and free.”
—Hubert H. Humphrey (19111978)
