A short story called "The Oƶgenesis of Bird City" (1971) describes an earlier time when the arcologies and the egg-houses were being introduced to society. Famous quotes containing the words related and/or works:

No being exists or can exist which is not related to space in some way. God is everywhere, created minds are somewhere, and body is in the space that it occupies; and whatever is neither everywhere nor anywhere does not exist. And hence it follows that space is an effect arising from the first existence of being, because when any being is postulated, space is postulated.
    Isaac Newton (1642–1727)

Your hooves have stamped at the black margin of the wood,
Even where horrible green parrots call and swing.
My works are all stamped down into the sultry mud.
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)
