Richard Hamilton (basketball) - Player Profile

Player Profile

Rip Hamilton is an extremely active offensive player, constantly moving without the ball and finding open shots off screens. When Indiana Pacers legend Reggie Miller retired from the NBA, he was noted as telling Hamilton to "carry the torch" for guards in the league. Famous quotes containing the words player and/or profile:

Abused as we abuse it at present, dramatic art is in no sense cathartic; it is merely a form of emotional masturbation.... It is the rarest thing to find a player who has not had his character affected for the worse by the practice of his profession. Nobody can make a habit of self-exhibition, nobody can exploit his personality for the sake of exercising a kind of hypnotic power over others, and remain untouched by the process.
    Aldous Huxley (1894–1963)

Actor: Electrician, a little more this way with that spotlight. What are you trying to do, ruin my profile?
Electrician: Your profile was ruined the day you were born.
    James Gleason (1886–1959)
