Dale Children
Mary Dale – September 6, 1792 to August 7, 1793
Richard Dale, Jr. – January 2, 1795 to 1815. Dale, Sr. used his not insubstantial influence within the United States Department of the Navy to get both Dale Jr. and his brother John Montgomery positions within the naval fleet, with the caveat that they serve on different ships. Struck by a cannonball that severed his leg, he later died as a prisoner on the island.
John Montgomery Dale – January 4, 1797 to December 15, 1852. Served as a Captain within the United States Navy, and eventually dedicated the sloop-of-war USS Dale (1822–1921), which was named in honor of his father.
Samuel Sutherland Dale – 1799 (died an infant)
Edward Crathorne Dale – February 21, 1801 to December 18, 1868.
Sarah Barry Dale – January 14, 1804 to March 6, 1839

Famous quotes containing the words dale and/or children:
“Think of the life of the working woman as the decathlon. If you even finish its a miracle.”
—Barbara Dale (b. 1940)
“When children dress like adults they are more likely to behave as adults do, to imitate adult actions. It is hard to walk like an adult male wearing corduroy knickers that make an awful noise. But boys in long pants can walk like men, and little girls in tight jeans can walk like women.”
