Rich Rosen - Present Day

Present Day

Today, Rosen lives once again in New Jersey with his wife, Celia. He is "retired" from posting to Usenet, but now has his own blog to post to. He still writes on the subject of web application development, including articles for various online and print journals, while also working with Leon Shklar on a second edition of their Web Application Architecture book. In addition, he recently contributed material to the fourth edition of Mac OS X for Unix Geeks which was published in the fall of 2008. He continues to record his own music, some of which is accessible on his web site.

Famous quotes containing the words present day, present and/or day:

The technological landscape of the present day has enfranchised its own electorates—the inhabitants of marketing zones in the consumer goods society, television audiences and news magazine readerships... vote with money at the cash counter rather than with the ballot paper at the polling booth.
    —J.G. (James Graham)

How do you know antiquity was foolish? How do you know the present is wise? Who made it foolish? Who made it wise?
    François Rabelais (1494–1553)

Had I been less resolved to work, I would perhaps had made an effort to begin immediately. But since my resolution was formal and before twenty four hours, in the empty slots of the next day where everything fit so nicely because I was not yet there, it was better not to choose a night at which I was not well-disposed for a debut to which the following days proved, alas, no more propitious.... Unfortunately, the following day was not the exterior and vast day which I had feverishly awaited.
    Marcel Proust (1871–1922)
