Gas Rice Cookers
Most gas rice cookers are of the pressure-cooker type and have larger capacity than home rice cookers (1 to 2 litres). They are more commonly used for commercial and industrial purposes. Different from conventional gas pressure cookers, they are designed for easier rice-serving and easier cleaning. In general, it is believed that gas pressure cookers produce better cooked rice than conventional electric rice cookers that do not employ pressure cooking. Some are equipped with a heat-insulating outer layer and electric keep-warm feature.

Famous quotes containing the words gas and/or rice:
“Droning a drowsy syncopated tune,
Rocking back and forth to a mellow croon,
I heard a Negro play.
Down on Lenox Avenue the other night
By the pale dull pallor of an old gas light”
—Langston Hughes (19021967)
“The arbitrary division of ones life into weeks and days and hours seemed, on the whole, useless. There was but one day for the men, and that was pay day, and one for the women, and that was rent day. As for the children, every day was theirs, just as it should be in every corner of the world.”
—Alice Caldwell Rice (18701942)
