Remote Data Capture

Remote data capture is the process of automatic collection of scientific data. It is widely used in clinic trials, where it is referred to as electronic data capture. In physical sciences, automatic observation hardware in the field can be linked to an observer in a laboratory through a cellphone or other communication link., for example in hydrology.

Famous quotes containing the words remote, data and/or capture:

Space isn’t remote at all. It’s only an hour’s drive away if your car could go straight upwards.
    Fred, Sir Hoyle (b. 1915)

Mental health data from the 1950’s on middle-aged women showed them to be a particularly distressed group, vulnerable to depression and feelings of uselessness. This isn’t surprising. If society tells you that your main role is to be attractive to men and you are getting crow’s feet, and to be a mother to children and yours are leaving home, no wonder you are distressed.
    Grace Baruch (20th century)

No place is so strongly fortified that money could not capture it.
    Marcus Tullius Cicero (106–43 B.C.)
