Reggie Hayes prefers to keep his private life private. However, he spends his personal time to support various charity events. His older sister, Jacki Hayes, who earned both a bachelor's degree and MBA in the College of Business at the University of Illinois, created the Reginald and Frances Hayes H.O.P.E. Scholarship award in 2000. In 2009, He made a surprise appearance and presented the H.O.P.E. scholarships to University of Illinois students.
