Although the structure has not been used for Reformed Presbyterian services in seventy years, it is still known as the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Vernon. Its Greek Revival style of architecture led to its inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places on 1999-01-07.

Famous quotes containing the words national and/or register:
“Five oclock tea is a phrase our rude forefathers, even of the last generation, would scarcely have understood, so completely is it a thing of to-day; and yet, so rapid is the March of the Mind, it has already risen into a national institution, and rivals, in its universal application to all ranks and ages, and as a specific for all the ills that flesh is heir to, the glorious Magna Charta.”
—Lewis Carroll [Charles Lutwidge Dodgson] (18321898)
“Our fear that Communism might some day take over most of the world blinds us to the fact that anti-communism already has.”
—Anonymous U.S. Analyst In 1967. Quoted in The Uses of Anticommunism, vol. 21, published in The Socialist Register (1985)
