Redeemer Pacific College

Founded in 1999 by Thomas Hamel, Redeemer Pacific College (RPC) is a Roman Catholic liberal arts college located near Langley, British Columbia in Canada. RPC partners with Trinity Western University (TWU), providing students with a foundation in Catholic liberal arts as they work towards an undergraduate degree in any one of the undergraduate majors offered by TWU. Redeemer Pacific College is an "orthodox" Catholic College, meaning that its teaching accords with the teaching of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

The primary goal of RPC's academic program is to provide any Catholic students who are attending Trinity Western University with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of their own faith tradition. RPC courses are also open to any TWU student, and help to promote mutual understanding between Catholic and TWU's largely Evangelical students. All RPC professors are highly qualified professionals in their fields, and all adhere to the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Along with a focus on orthodox Catholic teaching and solid intellectual formation, RPC offers opportunities for spiritual and social development. Mass is celebrated in RPC's chapel four times a week, and rides are available from campus to the nearby parish every Sunday. Students also have access to the Blessed Sacrament at RPC, as well as regular confessions and Adoration.

Famous quotes containing the words redeemer, pacific and/or college:

For I know that my Redeemer lives, and that at the last he will stand upon the earth; and after my skin has been thus destroyed, then in my flesh I shall see God,
    Bible: Hebrew, Job 19:25.

It is easier to sail many thousand miles through cold and storm and cannibals, in a government ship, with five hundred men and boys to assist one, than it is to explore the private sea, the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean of one’s being alone.... It is not worth the while to go round the world to count the cats in Zanzibar.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

Face your own ambivalence about letting go and you will be better able to help you children cope with their own feelings. The insight you gain through your own acceptance of change will bolster your confidence and make you a stronger college parent. The confidence you develop will be evident to your child, who will be able to move away from you without fear.
    Norman Goddam (20th century)
