Red John's Identity
As of the season 5 finale, Red John's identity still remains a mystery. Although it is still unknown if Kirkland is a Red John accomplice, Red John himself, or someone trying to catch Red John. At the end of season five, the final Red John suspects are seven men: Bret Stiles, Gale Bertram, Ray Haffner, Reede Smith, Bob Kirkland, Tom McAllister, and Brett Partridge. The creator of the show has confirmed that one of these men is in fact Red John.
