The album cover features an image of two dog-faced humans (suggested to be wolves in sheeps clothing) dressed in black uniform. The artwork was designed by Fred Hidalgo (known for drawing the cover for The Offspring's highly acclaimed 1994 album Smash, which was also released on Epitaph).

Famous quotes containing the words album and/or cover:

What a long strange trip it’s been.
Robert Hunter, U.S. rock lyricist. “Truckin’,” on the Grateful Dead album American Beauty (1971)

And I’ll tell you for why. A jay’s gifts and instincts, and feelings, and interests, cover the whole ground. A jay hasn’t got any more principle than a Congressman.
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)
