Real Detroit Weekly (often called just Real Detroit) is a weekly newspaper distributed free of charge every Wednesday, that focuses mainly on entertainment news from metro Detroit. It has a proportion of advertisements similar to the Metro Times (and even some of the same advertisers). Both publications are usually available at the same establishments.
Famous quotes containing the words real and/or weekly:
“The pendulum oscillates between these two terms: Sufferingthat opens a window on the real and is the main condition of the artistic experience, and Boredom ... that must be considered as the most tolerable because the most durable of human evils.”
—Samuel Beckett (19061989)
“In general, one may pronounce kissing dangerous. A spark of fire has often been struck out of the collision of lips, that has blown up the whole magazine of virtue.”
—Anonymous, U.S. womens magazine contributor. Weekly Visitor or Ladies Miscellany, p. 203 (April 1803)
