Raymond P. Shafer
Raymond Philip Shafer (March 5, 1917 – December 12, 2006) served as the 39th Governor of Pennsylvania from 1967 to 1971. He had previously served as the 23rd Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania from 1963 to 1967. He was a national leader of the moderate wing of the Republican Party in the late 1960s.
