Ray Stevens Discography - Music Videos

Music Videos

The majority of Stevens' music videos were filmed long after the song's original release in audio form, primarily for newly-made video compilations. All music videos feature live-action Ray Stevens until 2004's "Power Tools". Starting with that music video, animated Ray Stevens was featured in a series of limited animation music videos. Ray wouldn't appear in live-action again until 2009's "We The People" music video. Stevens' music videos have become viral and most of them have garnered more than half a million unique views with several music videos reaching views of more than a million. Stevens' journey into political humor, beginning with 2009's "We The People", ushered in a new creative avenue for the artist and since that time most of his creative output is in the political/topical vein.

Famous quotes containing the words music and/or videos:

And this shall be for music when no one else is near,
The fine song for singing, the rare song to hear!
That only I remember, that only you admire,
Of the broad road that stretches and the roadside fire.
    Robert Louis Stevenson (1850–1894)

Ambivalence reaches the level of schizophrenia in our treatment of violence among the young. Parents do not encourage violence, but neither do they take up arms against the industries which encourage it. Parents hide their eyes from the books and comics, slasher films, videos and lyrics which form the texture of an adolescent culture. While all successful societies have inhibited instinct, ours encourages it. Or at least we profess ourselves powerless to interfere with it.
    C. John Sommerville (20th century)
