Following the 1989 Dallas production of the "Mr. President" (see listing above), the song was featured on HBO's Comic Relief special. On this show, the song was performed by singers Natalie Cole and Al Jarreau, along with New York City public school choral students and a band led by saxophonist Tom Scott.
