Rave On!

"Rave On" is a 1958 song written by Sonny West, Bill Tilghman and Norman Petty, first recorded by Sonny West (released February 1958, Atlantic 45-1174). It was also recorded by Buddy Holly, and was one of his last hits during his lifetime. The song as sung by Holly is ranked #155 on Rolling Stone magazine's 2004 list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time. The song is based on the 1956 Sun Records recording "Dixie Fried" by Carl Perkins and uses the refrain "rave on" from that song.
