Rave Music

Rave music may either refer to the late 1980s genre of house music, the first genre of music in the world to be played at raves, or any genre of electronic dance music that may be played at a rave, such as house, trance, techno, drum & bass, happy hardcore, breakbeat hardcore and gabber. Very rarely, the term is used to refer to less electronic related genres such as glam, powerpop, psychedelic rock and dub music parties.

Famous quotes containing the words rave and/or music:

    they alive, I dead beneath
That board—you’d rave and rend them with your teeth.
    —J.M. (John Millington)

On the first days, like a piece of music that one will later be mad about, but that one does not yet distinguish, that which I was to love so much in [Bergotte’s] style was not yet clear to me. I could not put down the novel that I was reading, but I thought that I was only interested in the subject, as in the first moments of love when one goes every day to see a woman at some gathering, or some pastime, by the amusements to which one believes to be attracted.
    Marcel Proust (1871–1922)
