Famous quotes containing the words early and/or life:
“The girl must early be impressed with the idea that she is to be a hand, not a mouth; a worker, and not a drone, in the great hive of human activity. Like the boy, she must be taught to look forward to a life of self-dependence, and early prepare herself for some trade or profession.”
—Elizabeth Cady Stanton (18151902)
“True Shandeism, think what you will against it, opens the heart and lungs, and like all those affections which partake of its nature, it forces the blood and other vital fluids of the body to run freely thro its channels, and makes the wheel of life run long and chearfully round.”
—Laurence Sterne (17131768)
