Systematic Rape By Armed Forces
Judges from the ICTY ruled that rape was used by the Bosnian Serb armed forces as an "instrument of terror". They declared that a "hellish orgy of persecution" occurred in various camps across Bosnia. Current research puts the estimated number of women raped between 20,000 and 50,000, overwhelmingly Bosniak.
