Rangitoto operates an enrolment scheme. Being in the 'Rangi zone' is seen as a selling point for property, and real estate agencies have set up websites to exploit this.
Rangitoto's enrolment zone covers approximately 12 square kilometres (4.6 sq mi), largely and includes Campbells Bay, Mairangi Bay, Murrays Bay, Pinehill, Rothesay Bay, Sunset North, and Windsor Park, and parts of Meadowood and Rosedale east of the Auckland Northern Motorway.
