Chairing 40th Punjab Assembly Session
Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa has summoned Punjab Assembly session for August 27, 2012 (Monday). Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan will chair the 40th assembly session. According to parliamentary sources, the session will continue for at least a week and is expected to be a busy one as the government plans to discuss several business-related issues as well as some special bills. The sources said that the provincial government plans to table the following bills in the coming session: Punjab Service Tribunals (Amendment) Bill 2012 and the Punjab Local Government (Fourth Amendment) Bill 2012.
