History
Cannery Casino Resorts took over management of the Regent Casino in 2002 under an agreement with JW Marriott owner Hotspur Resorts, and completely renovated it to re-brand it as Rampart Casino. The renovation included redesigning the gaming floor, acquiring new slot equipment and constructing three new restaurants.
Cannery's management agreement expires in March 2012. Hotspur opted not to renew the agreement, and will instead combine the casino and hotel under its own management, with the help of consulting services from Affinity Gaming. Michael Gaughan, Jr., the son of casino magnate Michael Gaughan, will be the property's general manager.
