Ramdwara - Origin of Ramsnehi

Origin of Ramsnehi

Ramsnehi Sampradaya is a spiritual and religious tradition originating in 1817 Bikram Samwat in Bhilwara city of Rajashthan by the disciple of Swami Shri Ram Charan Maharaj.

In present time, Ramsnehi Sampradaya has four major monasteries. All are in Rajashtan State of India. They are in the following cities:

  1. Banwara, Rajasthan
  2. Sodha, Rajasthan
  3. Bhilwara, Rajasthan
  4. Shahpura, Rajasthan

Smaller रामद्वारा centres are located at various places in states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Delhi.

SwamiJi Shree Ram Charan Ji Maharaj came to Shahpura from Bhilwara and did Tapasya (deep meditation).

At the place where Swami Ram Charan Ji Maharaj's body was cremated, a giant Ramdwara has been built. This is now the chief Ramdwara of Ramsnehi Sampradaya.

This Ramdwara is also called Ram Niwas Dhaam or Ram Niwas Baikunth Dhaam.

Famous quotes containing the words origin of and/or origin:

The real, then, is that which, sooner or later, information and reasoning would finally result in, and which is therefore independent of the vagaries of me and you. Thus, the very origin of the conception of reality shows that this conception essentially involves the notion of a COMMUNITY, without definite limits, and capable of a definite increase of knowledge.
    Charles Sanders Peirce (1839–1914)

The essence of morality is a questioning about morality; and the decisive move of human life is to use ceaselessly all light to look for the origin of the opposition between good and evil.
    Georges Bataille (1897–1962)
