Transportation
The school district provides transportation to any elementary, middle, or high school student living over 2 miles (3.2 km) from his or her assigned school. The district may add .1 miles (0.16 km) to establish a reasonable boundary. It also provides transportation for AM and PM kindergarten students when the time is about 12 Noon. If students face hazards (such as construction areas and multilane highways), preventing safe travel to the assigned schools, the Department of Transportation will decide to allow bus travel for those students.
The district has a fleet of fifty school buses. The fleet makes 111 runs daily, and serves about 3,300 students. Since the transportation department also has maintenance and service vehicles, it has a total of 162 vehicles in its fleet.
