Famous quotes containing the words quit, playing and/or games:

The person whose doors I enter with most pleasure, and quit with most regret, never did me the smallest favour.
    William Hazlitt (1778–1830)

In time, after a dozen years of centering their lives around the games boys play with one another, the boys’ bodies change and that changes everything else. But the memories are not erased of that safest time in the lives of men, when their prime concern was playing games with guys who just wanted to be their friendly competitors. Life never again gets so simple.
    Frank Pittman (20th century)

As long as lightly all their livelong sessions,
Like a yardful of schoolboys out at recess
Before their plays and games were organized,
They yelling mix tag, hide-and-seek, hopscotch,
And leapfrog in each other’s way all’s well.
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)
