It subsequently focused on the Northeastern states, gradually expanding during presidential elections to cover swing states as well. The institute receives funding from the university, with its phone callers generally being work study students or local residents. The polls have been rated highly by Fivethirtyeight.com for accuracy in predicting primary and general elections. To many, Quinnipiac University is best known for its polls.
