Mobile telephones (known locally as handphones) may be brought to school, but will be confiscated if used during lessons or activities. Pupils must wear white socks and tuck in their shirts. There are rules about hair length. Hair colouring is forbidden. For serious offences such as fighting or bullying, male students receive up to six strokes of the cane.
