Famous quotes containing the words queen and/or vase:
“The Queen turned crimson with fury, and, after glaring at her for a moment like a wild beast, began screaming Off with her head! Off with
Nonsense! said Alice loudly and decidedly, and the Queen was silent.”
—Lewis Carroll [Charles Lutwidge Dodgson] (18321898)
“Forgotten and stinking they stick in the can.
And the vase breaths better and all, and all.
And so for the end of our life to a man,
Just over, just over and all.”
—Gwendolyn Brooks (b. 1917)
