Famous quotes containing the words queens and/or counsel:

“Your strength, that is so lofty and fierce and kind,
It might call up a new age, calling to mind
The queens that were imagined long ago,
    Is but half yours....”
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)

There is as much difference between the counsel that a friend giveth, and that a man giveth himself, as there is between the counsel of a friend and of a flatterer. For there is no such flatterer as is a man’s self.
    Francis Bacon (1561–1626)
