Queen of Camelot

Queen of Camelot is an Arthurian-legend based novel shown through the viewpoint of Queen Guinevere. It is a combination of two of McKenzie's previous books The Child Queen and The High Queen. She states in the foreword that she originally intended the novels to be combined, but they were split at the time of publication because of their length.

Famous quotes containing the words queen of, queen and/or camelot:

    She is
The queen of curds and cream.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

Just as the queen bee, the highest-ranking, peerless creature of her hive, is surrounded by lowly drones to please her, whereas the workers produce honey, the same way is the one who sits on the throne an equal only to himself, and no one’s companion.
    Franz Grillparzer (1791–1872)

Ask every person if he’s heard the story,
And tell it strong and clear if he has not,
That once there was a fleeting wisp of glory
    Called Camelot ...
    Don’t let it be forgot
That once there was a spot
For one brief shining moment that was known
    As Camelot.
    Alan Jay Lerner (1918–1986)
