Famous quotes containing the words queen, mother, champion and/or chase:

This queen will live. Nature awakes,
A warmth breathes out of her. She hath not been
Entranced above five hours. See how she ‘gins
To blow into life’s flower again.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

The lightning—it is good for you. Your father was Frankenstein, but your mother was the lightning. She has come down to you again.
    W. Scott Darling, and Erle C. Kenton. Ygor (Bela Lugosi)

What a terrible thing has happened to us all! To you there, to us here, to all everywhere. Peace who was becoming bright-eyed, now sits in the shadow of death; her handsome champion has been killed as he walked by her very side. Her gallant boy is dead. What a cruel, foul, and most unnatural murder! We mourn here with you, poor, sad American people.
    Sean O’Casey (1884–1964)

I tell people all the time, you have to be in love with that pot. You have to put all your love in that pot. If you’re in a hurry, just eat your sandwich and go. Don’t even start cooking, because you can’t do anything well in a hurry. I love food. I love serving people. I love satisfying people.
    —Leah Chase (b. 1923)
