Carrier Air Group

The vessels are expected to be capable of carrying forty aircraft, a maximum of thirty-six F-35s and four helicopters. Instead of all naval aircraft, depending on the mission a mixture of aircraft could be carried, including up to twelve Royal Air Force Chinook and eight British Army Apache helicopters.
