Famous quotes containing the words dean martin, dean and/or martin:

I’d hate to be a teetotaller. Imagine getting up in the morning and knowing that’s as good as you’re going to feel all day.
    Dean Martin (b. 1917)

Psychobabble is ... a set of repetitive verbal formalities that kills off the very spontaneity, candor, and understanding it pretends to promote. It’s an idiom that reduces psychological insight to a collection of standardized observations, that provides a frozen lexicon to deal with an infinite variety of problems.
    —Richard Dean Rosen (b. 1949)

    Old Mother Hubbard
    Went to the cupboard
To get her poor dog a bone:
    But when she got there
    The cupboard was bare,
And so the poor dog had none.
    —Sarah Catherine Martin (1768–1826)
