Famous quotes containing the words punk, rock and/or song:

    When there’s no future
    How can there be sin
We’re the flowers in the dustbin
We’re the poison in your human machine
    We’re the future
    Your future
    God Save the Queen
The Sex Pistols, British punk band (1976-1979)

Here is no water but only rock
Rock and no water and the sandy road
The road winding above among the mountains
Which are mountains of rock without water
If there were water we should stop and drink
Amongst the rock one cannot stop or think
    —T.S. (Thomas Stearns)

I can’t stand to sing the same song the same way two nights in succession, let alone two years or ten years. If you can, then it ain’t music, it’s close-order drill or exercise or yodeling or something, not music.
    Billie Holiday (1915–1959)
