Film Adaptation
Back in 2006, DreamWorks Animation had the rights to develop a computer animated film adaptation.
In June 2011, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer announced that it is developing a computer-animated film based on the book. David Silverman, the director of The Simpsons Movie and co-director of Monsters, Inc., will direct the feature. A release date and the cast for the film is currently unknown.

“The real security of Christianity is to be found in its benevolent morality, in its exquisite adaptation to the human heart, in the facility with which its scheme accommodates itself to the capacity of every human intellect, in the consolation which it bears to the house of mourning, in the light with which it brightens the great mystery of the grave.”
