Famous quotes containing the words author, choice and/or monthly:
“The role of the writer is not simply to arrange Being according to his own lights; he must also serve as a medium to Being and remain open to its often unfathomable dictates. This is the only way the work can transcend its creator and radiate its meaning further than the author himself can see or perceive.”
—Václav Havel (b. 1936)
“People are capable of doing an awful lot when they have no choice and I had no choice. Courage is when you have choices.”
—Terry Anderson, U.S. hostage. International Herald Tribune (Paris, May 6, 1992)
“Romeo. Lady, by yonder blessed moon I vow,
That tips with silver all these fruit tree tops
Juliet. O, swear not by the moon, th inconstant moon,
That monthly changes in her circled orb,
Lest that thy love prove likewise variable.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
