It cannot in the opinion of His Majesty’s Government be classified as slavery in the extreme acceptance of the word without some risk of terminological inexactitude.
    Winston Churchill (1874–1965)

I am against government by crony.
    Harold L. Ickes (1874–1952)

For the people in government, rather than the people who pester it, Washington is an early-rising, hard-working city.
