Product Platform
Open architecture product platform is where a private bank distributes all the third party products and is not restricted to selling only its proprietary products. Closed architecture product platform is where the bank sells only its propriety products and does not entertain any third party product. These days the needs of the clients are so diverse that it is practically impossible for a bank to cater to those needs by its proprietary products alone. Clients today demand the best of breed products and most banks have to follow an open architecture product platform where they distribute products of other banks to their clients in return for commission.

Famous quotes containing the words product and/or platform:
“...In the past, as now, [Hollywood] was a stamping ground for tastelessness, violence, and hyperbole, but once upon a time it turned out a product which sweetened the flavor of life all over the world.”
—Anita Loos (18881981)
“I have never yet spoken from a public platform about women in industry that someone has not said, But things are far better than they used to be. I confess to impatience with persons who are satisfied with a dangerously slow tempo of progress for half of society in an age which requires a much faster tempo than in the days that used to be. Let us use what might be instead of what has been as our yardstick!”
—Mary Barnett Gilson (1877?)
