Prince G Engine

Prince G Engine

The Prince G-series engine was the company's only straight-4 and straight-6 which began production in 1955. A number of variations were made, with both OHV and OHC heads. The G series was used in the Skyline, the Laurel and the Gloria from the 1950s to the early 1970s.

Note that, prior to its merger with Prince, Nissan also made a G series of engines. These are unrelated engines and are documented at the Nissan G engine page.

Famous quotes containing the words prince and/or engine:

A wholly materialistic city is nothing but a dream incarnate. Venice is the world’s unconscious, a miser’s glittering hoard, guarded by a Beast whose eyes are made of white agate, and by a saint who is really a prince who has just slain a dragon.
    Mary McCarthy (1912–1989)

The machine unmakes the man. Now that the machine is perfect, the engineer is nobody. Every new step in improving the engine restricts one more act of the engineer,—unteaches him.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
