Ground Force One is the nickname given to the modified X3-45 shells used by US President Barack Obama. The interiors were fitted out by Nashville, Tennessee-based Hemphill Brothers Coach Company and it is assumed that other features were added by the US Secret Service. A similar bus with a Prévost shell (when the model was known as the LeMirage XL-II) was used by then-President George W. Bush in the 2004 Presidential campaign.

Famous quotes containing the words ground and/or force:
“The sight of one of these frontier houses, built of these great logs, whose inhabitants have unflinchingly maintained their ground many summers and winters in the wilderness, reminds me of famous forts, like Ticonderoga or Crown Point, which have sustained memorable sieges.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“Men have two ways of righting their wrongs, by force and by the ballot. Both are denied to women, one by nature, the other by man.”
—Ida A. Harper 18511931, U.S. womens magazine contributor. Firemans Magazine, repr. In The Womans Magazine, pp. 423-5 (May 1887)
