Prayer Flag - Timing of Hanging and Taking Down

Timing of Hanging and Taking Down

Some believe that if the flags are hung on inauspicious astrological dates, they may bring negative results for as long as they are flying. The best time to put up new prayer flags is in the morning on sunny, windy days.

Old prayer flags are replaced with new ones annually on the Tibetan New Year.

Famous quotes containing the words timing and/or hanging:

A great man always considers the timing before he acts.
    Chinese proverb.

Most literature on the culture of adolescence focuses on peer pressure as a negative force. Warnings about the “wrong crowd” read like tornado alerts in parent manuals. . . .
