Power Window
Power windows or electric windows (American English) as well as electric or power window lifts (British English) are automobile windows which can be raised and lowered by depressing a button or switch, as opposed to using a hand-turned crank handle.
Famous quotes containing the words power and/or window:
“Do not doubt a womans power to aid; no toil
Can daunt a pure affection.”
—Silius Italicus (26101)
“It is a pleasure to stand upon the shore, and to see ships tossed upon the sea: a pleasure to stand in the window of a castle, and to see a battle and the adventures thereof below: but no pleasure is comparable to standing upon the vantage ground of truth ... and to see the errors, and wanderings, and mists, and tempests, in the vale below.”
—Francis Bacon (15611626)
